Ferri ZMTE-1800 Demonstration

Ferri ZMTE-1800 Demonstration

Our sales team was out working with the Steubenville Indiana County Highway Department today. The mission was to find a solution for roadside mowing that did not involve dedicating a tractor to the mowing project. The solution was the Ferri Offset Slope Mower.

One of the most important features of the Ferri slope mower is that it can mow directly behind the tractor, or offset to the right hand side of the tractor. With the mower in an offset position, the flail head can angle down the slope, or up the slope depending on the contour of the terrain. This feature makes this machine incredibly versatile, and well suited to roadside maintenance.

Because the cutting head is a flail mower design, these machines are very safe to use in roadside applications. These machines are typically fitted with long wearing hammer blades, so they have the ability to handle brush as well as heavy grass. The machines are easy to mount on a tractor three-point hitch, and easy to remove, freeing the tractor up for other duties.

The model we were working with today was the ZMTE-1800. The tractor was a 70 horsepower New Holland. Many thanks to our dealer Kenn-Feld group for helping us line up this demonstration. You can view more details about this model here: Ferri ZMTE-1800
