Excavator mounted flail head for cutting hedge rows, slopes, grass and brush up to 4" in diameter.

Note: excavator specific mounting kit must be added to this item and is not included in the base price.

Designed to handle the toughest vegetation management tasks, Bradco flail heads are designed to mount on a mini-excavator and are ideal for clearing hillsides, ditches, right-of-ways and roadsides.

Model FME-40 works on excavators from 6-10 tons (5000 psi max). Each unit is engineered to perform better in these areas: improved impact absorption; optimized blade pattern; drive train protection; unobstructed access to cutting; and increased safety.

An exclusive patent-pending torsion disc helps protect the drive assembly from damage by absorbing impact forces from the cutting blades. A bi-directional flow manifold with cross over relief allows the operator to direct debris away from bystanders.

Each flail head is equipped with adjustable skid shoes that allow material to contact the blades without obstruction, and improved drive train protection protects the rotor assembly from dirt and debris. The flange on both ends of the rotor prevents weed and wire wrap and completely protects the drive train mechanism. Thumb-ready models can be fitted with an optional thumb saddle which allows the operator to grab and move objects out of the way.

This model is thumb-ready; unit ships without hoses and couplers (dealer supplied); excavator mount must be ordered separately and is NOT included in the price
