Herd Sand Spreaders are upgraded spreaders designed for heavier payloads and for spreading frozen sand or grit material.
The Herd agitator and metering system is aggressive enough to be used with heavy sandy material even in cold and freezing conditions.
The Herd 5.5 sand spreader can hold up to 550 pounds of winter spreading material. Upgraded frame and hitch ensures that this spreader will handle the additional stress of spreading heavier material.
This unit ships with a standard Category 1 tractor three point hitch, and PTO drive shaft. The hopper screen and sand agitator are pre-installed.
Optional accessories include a hydraulic drive motor, fan shroud, skid steer mounting bracket, and electric actuator for opening and closing the spreader grate.
