The OptiMizer® is a hay feeding system designed to keep horses healthy and happy, and to make feeding an easier chore for the horse owner or farm manager. The OptiMizer® feeder is fitted with a mesh feeding net, with optimal size holes to regulate feeding speed, and to have consistent bite sizes.

The benefits of OptiMizer® feeding for the horse are:

  • clean hay is always available
  • horses eat at slower feeding speed
  • there is a more consistent bite size
  • the horses head is in a natural position
  • the netting provides natural oral stimulation

The benefits of OptiMizer® feeding for the owner are:

  • less hay is lost to waste
  • the unit is very easy to fill
  • the unit is durable, safe and easy to clean
  • stalls are cleaner with less hay to pick up
  • horses are occupied for longer, which makes everyone happier

One key feature of the OptiMizer® hay feeder is the OptiNet knotless netting. The netting comes with a standard size hole 1.6" square. (Optional smaller, or larger hole sizes are available). The OptiNet is designed to drape over the hay, and lower down in to the unit as the hay is consumed. A horse-proof latch holds the OptiNet frame in place. The latch can be opened with one hand, the frame moved out of the way, and new hay can be added to the feeder easily.
