SPIN WEEDER FRAME, MECHANICAL WIDTH ADJUSTMENT

The Spin Weeder from Northstar Attachments was designed in Washington state to solve the need for a vineyard cultivation tool that would work in the row to eliminate weeds and also minimize crop damage. The Spin Weeder gets its name from the ground driven rotating disc that works just below soil level to eliminate weeds in the row. The discs are spring loaded for easy retraction when encountering the vine. A soil buffer is created between the disc and the crop while operating to further reduce crop damage.

A complete machine is comprised of a frame, right hand and/or left hand spin weeder discs, and optional attachments such as disc gangs for a wider cultivation swath, and gauge wheels to keep the frame level in challenging or hilly conditions.
