Herd Sure Feed Spreader with a 500 pound (5 bushel) hopper capacity.

The Herd Sure-Feed 550 Spreader is designed for smaller utility and compact tractors, for applications that do not require the full capacity of the 750-3PT 9.5 bushel hopper.

This spreader would be ideal for a school district to maintain athletic fields, or a municipality for maintaining city parks, as well as salt application in parking lots.

Many landowners with a compact tractor can use a spreader this size for overseeding small pastures, seeding food plots, or fertilizing large grass areas.

The 550 spreader enjoys all of the features of the 750 spreader - Easy Adjust Pattern Control, powder coated hopper with round bottom for improved material flow, and a rugged fan distribution assembly. Options include: hopper lid, lime agitator for dry lime, hydraulic drive conversion, and an electric actuator to control seed gate shut-off.
