The Herd Broadcast Seeder is designed specifically for utility vehicle mounting. This unit is powered by 12 volt electric motor which hooks directly to the utility vehicle fan with a low amperage draw.
Herd Seeders are renowned for being accurate as well as economical, and are one of the best food plot seeders. The heart of the unit is the Herd Sure-Feed™ dosing mechanism which is ideal for spreading alfalfa, clover and many other materials. A small vibrating agitator provides a steady, accurate flow of material to the dosing plate. The metering system can handle many different seed sizes, even down to smallest seed, with precision. This means that you only use the seed you need, without wasting expensive material by over-seeding the plot. Whether you are planting food plots, re-seeding lawns, or spreading fertilizer you are guaranteed to have one of the most accurate seeders on the market.

"Absolutely love this machine. Spreads beautifully. Put down clover seed on 50 AC in about an hour. Efficient, accurate and looks to be very durable. Excited to use this on hundred of acres every year for a long time. Only reason it's not 5 starts is the switch to turn on the spreader was defective."

"Product showed up on time quality was good but the parts the manufacture put together didn’t hold up it fell Apart and lost parts. Very disappointing for the price on this. The electric actuator doesn’t work like expected either"
Great Seeder Spreader
"Sowed rye, waterway grass mix, sugar beets and spread lime and 13-13-13 fertilizers. Rate chart seems accurate for various products and flow gate seems very durable. The flow gate didn’t bind like other seeder spreaders I’ve had."
Solid Well Built Spreader
"The spreader hopper was slightly damaged during shipping but I was able fix it and did not have to return it. Kasco should improve how it’s packed, it’s heavy and needs lots of support for shipping. I have fabricated a rack to mount the speader on my UTV Mule but have not been able to test the performance. It appears to be very well built. I would suggest the wiring be improved, use corded wires instead of individual unwrapped wires that easily get tangled and add an on/off switch on the cord. It’s not practical to have the switch on the unit as you need to switch it off and on frequently when making turns and such. Hope to be testing it soon if can get a decent rain."

"Mounted up nice , ant plates were close on lining up on pins, had to drill out holes to fit over pins. Spreader worked fine , but vibrating wire in bottom of unit came loose off the spinner with in first 30 minutes of use. Sure I’ll get years of service from this spreader"
